People I think what it is saying is that the Eastern cultures are always having to fight for their rights...or always having to suffer some form of authoritarian democracy...while the western culture either pretends not to see it or won't soon have to see this type of shielding of rights....

This is the truth.
The East has it's moral and ethic. but they have they "eyes" to see the truth and use their minds.
The West, is going to the self destruction with it's decadence, their eyes are "closed", so they can't see, or in other words, their eyes are sealed in the see of lies and disinformation which the governments and media present....
One of the paradox, Julian Assange is getting the guillotine for giving the information from the governments and corporations to the people, but Mark Zuckenberg is a "HERO", for giving your (peoples) private information to the governments and corporations...

The "East" picture is showing a woman in a traditional Niqab (Although in all honesty, it doesn't really resemble any style I'm familiar with) which shows nothing but the eyes which she needs to be able to see through. The "West" picture is showing a woman wearing the opposite of "East" woman for the purposes of setting herself apart even at the cost of her own faculties.
