If you like history, cheuhcrs, baroque style and forts, old cities and pre-historical ruins, you found the right place. I went there and loved it. Mdina, Mosta, Valetta, so many things to see. It was a very rich island at the center of the Meditteranean power plays and commerce and it shows. It also has the oldest megalithic temple in the world at Ggantija. Impressive.Summer is tourist season, hot, full of people and with prices taking their annual climb. I would recommend early June, when the island is green, the flowers are out, and the tourist crowd is of a moderate size. The beaches themselves are very small, Malta is a rock perched over the sea.Then you have more touristy things, like jet skying, diving, boating.
